deuromedia transfers SYSTEMS reports via satellite to any PC

Transmission of SYSTEMS reporting on the high-tech channel it-tv via satellite is the first project in a cooperation between feedback new media marketing, Media!AG and deuromedia. In joint cooperation the companies are going to demonstrate the future of digital data transmission of TV radio and Internet contents via wide-band solutions to monitors positioned in companies and households.

Munich, SYSTEMS, 18th -22nd October 1999 - With the transmission of SYSTEMS reporting on the high-tech channel it-tv in top quality via satellite deuromedia, feedback new media marketing and Media!AG are now striking out untrodden paths in the infotainment sector. It will be possible to receive over 500 presentations, live reports of fair events, videos, presentations and texts as well as contributions from the it-tv studio at SYSTEMS on all of the 5 fair days.

it-tv is world-wide the first Internet TV channel for the high-tech industry. The project initiated by feedback and realised in cooperation with Media!AG will start off in the Web with the transmission of SYSTEMS and will be additionally broadcast via satellite with the help of wide-band transmission options provided by deuromedia. The interactive platform it-tv aims at developing in the medium term into the technical medium of the IT industry by providing the latest information and highly qualified contents.

At SYSTEMS reports will be broadcast daily on the fair via 11 channels running parallel, 5 days in sequence and 8 hours per day. In addition about 500 presentations will be provided on-demand. For the transmission via satellite the it-tv recordings from SYSTEMS will be placed on the deuromedia server in Luxembourg by "Store-and-Forward" and broadcast from there via satellite.

The satellite transmission of the it-tv SYSTEMS program highlights will be shown at the fair at deuromedia receiving stations positioned at the ASTRA stand (Hall B6/206) and the feedback stand (HallB4/542) - for copyright reasons with one day delay. Per Internet the highlights of the forums and presentations from the it-tv studio can be experienced live during the whole event at the Visitor Center of SYSTEMS homepage www.systems.de and under www.it-tv.de. An on-demand function makes the whole thing an information source tuned to individual requirements.

With "the viewer", skymail and skymanager deuromedia has developed leading software tools which implement the advantages of point-to-multipoint data transmission via satellite in full scope. The conventional information channels such as TV, radio and PC will merge to one screen, simultaneously offering an additional benefit by the integration of interactive Internet functionality.
