deuromedia strengthens Marketing and Sales
Bernhard Müller the newly appointed Vice President
and Rob de Poorter the new Director of Market Development
Merzig, 10th December 2000 - deuromedia, the software provider
of ready-to-market send and receive concepts for broad-band
transmissions is strengthening its management team.
Bernhard Müller, the new Vice President responsible
for Market-ing and Sales, and Rob de Poorter, Director of
Market Development, show the way forward: following deuromedia's
pioneering work realising the technology for its vi-sion of
the 'convergence of normal media', the German company is now
expanding its position on the world market.
"We have gained two competent new colleagues in Bernhard
Müller and Rob de Poorter, in spite of the skills shortage
on the IT employment market," beams Dieter Weber, company
founder and CEO, about his new staff.
More experience, more contacts - more expertise
As Vice President, 45 year old Bernhard Müller strengthens
the business' Sales and Marketing, having worked in positions
of responsibility for fifteen years in the IT industry. In
his last position as Director of Professional Services Europe
the IT spe-cialist was responsible for redeveloping the service
area of NetObjects, California.
Throughout his employment as managing director and sales
and marketing director in renowned companies such as SPEA
Software AG and Video Seven, Müller was able to achieve
multi-million sales growth. His work for Korea Data Systems,
ATI Technologies, Canada and CIS Technologies, Taiwan also
gave the new Vice Presi-dent many years experience working
abroad. All the companies for which he has worked are within
the areas of communication technologies and 'new media'.
"We are moving into a market which is new to everyone,
so experience and contacts from related industries are extremely
important to us," says Dieter Weber.
Rob de Poorter from Holland is taking on the position of
Director of Market Devel-opment. The qualified engineer (Eindhoven
technical university) regards his chal-lenge at deuromedia
as being to develop the market for North and South America.
De Poorter is convinced "that the deuromedia platform
will become the most suc-cessful in the Internet broadcast
market." He brings valuable experience with him from
his previous work at Philips; as head of marketing for new
products in PC pe-ripherals he was in close contact with the
world of Silicon Valley. Later, de Poorter marketed end-to-end
solutions for the broadcast market with digital TV and digital
video systems at Philips.
De Poorter also took on a pioneering role in this sector:
Philips is today the world leader among operators of networks
and service providers - exactly the point where digital TV
and the Internet merge.
