create - stream - receive: broadband technology
arrives on the advertising industry scene
PetersenNaumann AG sets the course for an interactive advertising
future through a co-operation with deuromedia
Milia 2001: Cannes, 10th February 2001 - Broadband technology
is now beginning to shape the advertising landscape. PetersenNaumann
AG, which has won many awards in the field of international
advertising film productions, is progressively ex-panding
its area of activities into the broad-band future. With deuromedia's
software, PetersenNaumann AG has found the right platform
to implement its visionary ideas today.
deuromedia eliminates the boundaries between the Internet
and television. The fu-sion of media and transmission networks
is changing the advertising industry from the ground up. High-resolution
moving pictures can now be quickly and simply sent in IP (Internet
protocol) format. But the new opportunities are not limited
to transfer-ring films on the Internet - new business models
are also becoming a possibility with interactivity via a reply
channel and the chance of addressing defined user groups (multicasting).
And this increases conceptual freedom in the development of
adver-tising and film production.
Production services on the brink of a new era
To exploit future opportunities to the full PetersenNaumann
AG has set up PetersenNaumann Connect. This new division develops
new multi-media marketing concepts using the potential of
broad-band transmission for the areas of advertising film,
feature film, production services and post-production. The
technology opens up new horizons to the creative scene: from
now on it's the idea that matters - file size and transfer
speed of are no longer important.
"We are at an important point in the history of communications.
Technology is now at last able to offer connections which
can meet every wish. We are going to start with new concepts,
and together with deuromedia we will guide the consumer into
this era," says Oliver Székessy (CEO, PetersenNaumann
AG).
Dieter Weber (CEO, deuromedia) also regards the cooperation
agreement as an important step, "The partnership of technology
and content which we want to shape with PetersenNaumann will
create interesting synergy effects. With this additional expertise
we can expand our scope of innovative activities and together
be prepared to win new interest in broad-band technology."
Successful applications with deuromedia software
At the IBC 2000 deuromedia showed PetersenNaumann productions
using 'the viewer plug-in' for the first time. This year broad-band
content will be presented at the milia 2001 in Cannes, France
(11/2 - 14/2/2001).
